Privacy Policy
At VidTwo (vidtwo.com), user privacy and data security are built into the fundamental architecture of our software. This privacy policy explains how our service operates, why we do not collect personal information, and how your privacy is protected when extracting media streams.
1. Zero File Retention & No-Log Architecture
VidTwo does not store, host, or cache any user-requested videos, reels, photos, or audio files on our servers. When you paste a URL from YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, X, or Reddit, our system acts strictly as a real-time protocol parser.
The media stream is negotiated in memory and handed directly to your web browser through native HTTP stream headers (including Content-Disposition and Accept-Ranges). Once the transmission to your browser completes, zero residual copies remain on our server infrastructure or disk storage.
2. No Account Registration or Personal Identifiers
VidTwo is 100% free and open for public access without requiring any user registration. We do not ask for, collect, or store:
- User names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Passwords, login credentials, or account profiles
- Credit card information, payment details, or billing addresses
- Social network authentication tokens or OAuth access permissions
3. Automated Telemetry & DDoS Protection
Like any global web service, our edge network and web servers automatically process standard technical connection metadata (such as IP addresses, browser User-Agent strings, and timestamp headers) strictly for:
- Preventing automated bot attacks, scraping abuse, and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attempts
- Enforcing fair rate limiting so all global users experience fast, uninterrupted extraction speeds
- Monitoring server CPU, memory, and bandwidth health across edge deployment nodes
This operational telemetry is stored in transient memory logs and is automatically purged on a rolling schedule. We never correlate server IP logs with individual download queries.
4. No Cross-Site Tracking or Profiling
VidTwo does not employ tracking pixels, third-party analytics trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your web browsing activity or media queries to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing syndicates.
5. GDPR (EU) & CCPA/CPRA (California) Compliance
Under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users possess fundamental rights regarding personal data protection. Because VidTwo does not store personal profiles, databases of identities, or persistent records of user activity, we inherently practice data minimization and privacy by default.
If you have questions about our data minimization practices or wish to submit a privacy inquiry, you can contact our security and compliance team at support@vidtwo.com.
6. End-to-End Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3)
All communications between your web browser and VidTwo are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS) with strict HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) preloading. This prevents eavesdropping, Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks, or ISP packet inspection during link extraction.
