DMCA Copyright & Takedown Policy

VidTwo (vidtwo.com) respects the intellectual property rights of content creators, artists, production studios, and copyright owners. We strictly adhere to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and international copyright directives.

1. Technical Architecture & Service Provider Status

VidTwo operates solely as an automated technical protocol and link parser. We do not host, store, broadcast, or index any third-party video, audio, or image files on our server infrastructure. When a user inputs a URL, our backend dynamically negotiates stream headers directly with official platform CDN edge nodes and hands the stream off to the user's client web browser.

Because no copyrighted files are hosted on VidTwo hardware, the primary remedy for copyright holders is to request removal from the origin hosting platform (such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, or Reddit).

2. Formal Notice of Copyright Infringement Requirements

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and wish to restrict our tool from processing specific URLs containing your protected work, please submit a written DMCA notification containing the following mandatory elements:

  • Identification of Work: Clear description and title of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  • Specific URL Location: The exact web link(s) on the third-party platform that you wish to block from extraction on VidTwo.
  • Contact Details: Your legal name, company name (if applicable), physical address, phone number, and official email address.
  • Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • Accuracy & Perjury Statement: A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  • Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the authorized copyright owner or legal representative.

3. Designated DMCA Agent Contact Information

Please send all formal DMCA takedown requests directly to our designated compliance department:

Email: dmca@vidtwo.com
Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Notice - [Content Title / URL]
Response SLA: 24 to 48 hours

4. Enforcement, Domain Blacklisting & URL Disablement

Upon receiving a valid and complete DMCA notice, VidTwo will expeditiously blacklist the reported URL(s) across our API gateway within 24 to 48 hours. Any subsequent attempt by any user to download or parse the blacklisted link will result in an immediate block notification.

5. Counter-Notification Procedure

If a user believes that a link was mistakenly blocked or disabled due to misidentification or fair use exceptions, the user may file a counter-notification containing their identification details, the blocked URL, and a statement under penalty of perjury outlining the mistake.
